Concern Citizens of Chicago 17th Ward

ccseventeenthward@gmail.com

The Concern Citizens of the 17th ward put together a list of restaurants and fast food location for the community and our many visiting friends from around the city, country, and around the world. The 17th ward which is part of Auburn / Gresham have many restaurants and fast food locations in its boundaries. We cross the 17th ward North, South, East, and West to see if we could get a factual account of most of the establishments and their locations. We discovered that there are over fifty-One, and counting, locations that include both Cafe style restaruants, and fast food counter service style restaurants, open for business. Although some of the locations are not in the best of shape, they provide a service that the community continues to embrace to this day. Some are also creating employment for the 17th ward residence. We notice there are many different franchises that are moving into the area and offering more variety of food choices for consumption. These locations are competing for your hard earn dollar and many of them are offering you the same food type such as Hamburgers, Hot Dogs, Fish and Chicken with a few offering a more diverse choice menu. We think you should be aware and concern yourself with the quality of the food being sold and the method of preparation. We also think making a positive suggestion to the manager and owners when we visit these different locations could improve service. We cannot emphasize enough the need for due diligence when it concerns the safety of the food we consume. There are many germs around us as we know. A new virus was introduce in 2009, something called swine flu or H1N1, which is very new and deadly. The medical establishment is trying to figure out its full capabilities and studies are ongoing. Everyone has a part to play in preventing unnecessary illness and heartache on one another. As a concern citizen of the 17th ward, we ask you to get involve and become part of a positive influence for better service, better product preparation, and better business practice as it relates to culinary methods. Let's share any positive creative ways of improving service. Let's also work together using good suggestions and create a safe community for ourselves, visiting family, and our friends. When you visit the locations speak up in a positive way or email your suggestion to CCseventeenthward@gmail.com which is one way of making a difference. Click here cartoon for your amusement.
